The Royal Liverpool University Hospital (RLUH) is a major teaching and research hospital located in the city of Liverpool. RLUH is the largest and busiest hospital in Merseyside and Cheshire, and has the largest emergency department of its kind in the UK.
The New Royal Liverpool University Hospital is one of the biggest Construction projects in Europe, and Bluegyp are very proud to be a part of this. The new Hospital, which is mainly contracted by Carillion, is expected to be the largest all single-patient room hospital in the UK. It is situated in the heart of Liverpool and is due for completion in 2017. The new hospital will be another major step forward in the emergence of the Liverpool Knowledge Quarter.
FK Construction appointed Bluegyp to carry out this very complex and detailed SFS framework to the building envelope of this spectacular building. Bluegyp worked with Kingspan and Knauf to come up with a SFS system for FK which proved cost effective and efficient on site.
